Switzerland is the destination of the moment for camps dedicated to children and adolescents. The number of families sending their children to camps outside the country increases from year to year, and applications for Switzerland have tripled compared to 2015. The statistics refer to the information from IntegralEdu, the most important educational consultant in Romania, currently connected with over 300 educational centers, colleges and universities that organize educational camps internationally. "Regarding Switzerland, the age range of young people who choose this destination is 11-16 years. However, among all camps organizers in Switzerland there are opportunities for smaller children, starting from 3 years. Examples are adventure and foreign languages camps organized by Altitude in the mountain resort of Verbier and have organized groups of children ages 3-5 years, 6-14 years and 15+, "says Alexandra Piha, IntegralEdu consultant.
Four educational institutions in Switzerland, which organize educational camps, participate in a project dedicated exclusively to families in Romania - Swiss Week, which runs from January 16 to 20 at IntegralEdu. Besides Altitude, at Swiss Week will participate organizers of the TASIS camps, the oldest private American school in Europe, but also those of the Swiss Education Group (SEG), one of the most famous groups of universities in the world dedicated to the industry of hospitality. Camps organized by SEG takes place at Hotel Insitute Montreux for youth aged between 16 and 20 years. Another area of development is Leysin Belvedere Hotel, for groups of young people aged between 12 and 18 years. A first for this event will be the participation of high school Brillantmont International School, the camp held in Lausanne, for young people aged between 10 and 17 years.
Families who choose to send their children in camps in Switzerland have as main motivation the outstanding activities that young people cannot experience elsewhere, the quality of programs of academic preparation or development of English, French or German language knowledge and not lastly the nature and the special services. Educational activities range from architecture and design, making a movie, culinary arts, introduction to communication in the world of hotel hospitality, event management, painting and the most varied range of sports. In addition, parents who make this choice are thinking on the long term, the idea of experimenting Swiss schools or universities and maximizing opportunities for children to study at a school or at a university outside, considering that these educational camps are organized by some of the most prestigious schools and universities in Switzerland," explains Alexandra Piha.
Swiss Week will bring for those interested in such camps a number of surprises in the Alps, and 20% discount on all contracted programs.
